After 10 years of guest lecturing and as an honorary recognition of this work, Bart Brands has been appointed Prof. h.c. Landscape Urbanism at the Detmolder Schule für Gestaltung.  In the past 10 years the department of urban planning has grown considerably and from next year, it will also be possible to study undertake a Master degree program in this specialisation.

As a landscape architect, he is interested in having the various disciplines of architecture, interior architecture and urban planning conduct joint design research into our current urban challenges.

Bart will enthusiastically continue his teaching duties in order to share knowledge and to stay in touch with young up-and-coming talent within the field.
